Justin Bieber kicked off his European tour in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday (May 30), but things didn’t go as smoothly as expected.
The 18-year-old singer was forced to start 30 minutes early in an attempt to settle down the crowd of thousands of Beliebers who were overwhelming local authorities.
“At 920 2nite Im going to do a free show 4 u the fans at the Opera House here in Oslo…for the show to happen u must all listen to the police,” Justin tweeted.
Just a couple of hours before the show, the “Boyfriend” singer learned of the chaos his fans were causing and took to his twitter account once again, sending a plea to the Norweigan mob.
“ NORWAY – please listen to the police. I dont want anyone getting hurt,” he said. “I want everything to go to plan but your safety must come first…”
Police came close to declaring a state of emergency, but Bieber’s early start helped calm down the scene. He performed his smash-hit “Baby” and debuted four new songs, according to reports.
The show was the first of several “secret,” free shows that the teen singer is staging throughout Europe to promote his new album, “Believe”; and the next one is planned to take place somewhere in Paris on Thursday.
“That was fun. #NORWAY!! Paris tomorrow #AtItagain!” Justin tweeted after the short gig.
The Norway show, among others, will be featured in Justin’s first network TV special, “All Around The World.” The special airs on NBC on June 21. Check your local listings.
